Despite the shock news story of 2 days ago that Charles Lee the creator of Litecoin had sold off all his Litecoin and donated the proceeds to the Litecoin Foundation due to a 'conflict of interests', Lite coin has not crashed and though a sell-off spree appears to have cause a dip in price of Litecoin up to about 3PM today , the price has now begun a visible and rapid recovery and is already back at nearly $300USD/LTC as of this writing 23h00 UTC.



So if you were looking to buy Litecoin while it was still low, you probably just missed it!



Either way, Litecoin is set to be a strong cryptocurrency in 2018 for the reasons that I cover in the video, some of which are:

► It's designed to be mined more rapidly

► It's created with RAPID transaction protocols

► It's created with the direct intention of being a TRANSACTION currency, and not simply a store of value, as Bitcoin seems to be right now.



Litecoin has a ever-growing number of merchants who accept it in the e-commerce and physical product sector as well as for such things at telephone top-ups and more recently Steam the online video game platform has added Litecoin to it's methods of game access purchasing.



This addition could be a large contributor to the actual use of Litecoin worldwide as the "gamers" get to using Litecoin as a transaction currency. My son, for example, could instantly purchase me some game-time with litecoin and have the transaction authorised within a couple of minutes, while being in another country that uses a different currency, and all immediate and peer-to-peer without the use of any third-party payment processors.



That's a BIG reason why Litecoin will continue to grow massively in 2018, and now that the creator can work on Litecoin without being accused of having a vested interest in the trading value of the coin itself.



The BIG reason why Litecoin will continue to grow in 2018 and beyond, in my opinion, is that exact fact of it's use as a small-size transaction medium and thus rapidly adopted by the general public, especially as it will likely still increase in value as it becomes widespread in it's everyday use as a world currency.
