Easy-to-make seeded garibaldi bake biscuits! Deliciously fruity and low in sugar. Ingredients list below.
Being selective about what we eat and tending towards a healthier diet, my wife and I were on the lookout for great-tasting snack recipes to have with a cup of tea.
We drink tea or coffee without sugar and so a low-sugarhealthy homemade snacks recipe was just right.
Our son , Kirk, a 4 star pastry-chef came to our rescue with this great seeded garibaldi bake biscuit recipe.
It's basically a simple biscuit mix with a layer of mixed fruit in the middle. The skill comes in creating two squares of the biscuit paste and putting it in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden, thus making it easy to spread the fruit paste and then place the top layer on.
As a last minute idea we added some beaten egg brushed on top with a generous dose of mixed seeds (chia, flaxseed and sesame).
The result is a really delicious, seeded garibaldi bake fruity biscuit that is low in sugar.
we replaced 60 of the 110g of sugar in the basic healthy homemade snacks recipe with Fructose. (fruit sugar) which is more healthy and more easily digested than sucrose.

The use of coffee pods (or pads as they're sometimes called) has become widespread and a number of different coffee companies distribute their coffee in pods that are compatible with the Senseo Coffee pod machine.
The specific model type in this coffee pod machine review is a Philips Senseo HD7818 in the video and I think it's the most common variety of coffee pod machine. You can use the Senseo mark coffee pads ► https://amzn.to/2HHoHQl
or you can many other pads that are compatible size to vary your taste.
The Senseo coffee maker machine is very easy to use and take care of. It has a drip tray and the pouring spout comes out for cleaning and comes apart so you can scrub the coffee channels as the oily residue can accumulate.
Our Philips Senseo Coffee pod machine has been used for several years with Senseo coffee pods and other marks of pods too.
It can make two small cups at once, or as I prefer to have, one large "Americano" style coffee that isn't too strong, wher I use a single coffee pod and fill my mug with a double coffee dose using the two-cup botton on the right of the machine.
You can make Senseo cappuccino with it as well using the deep double pod holder and the thicker cappuccino milk pod.
The newer version have an XL water container as the original makes about 4 cups before needing to be refilled.
This coffee machine heats up in about 2 minutes, and is very economical in electricity using only the required amount for a cup, so there's no waste. It turns itself off automatically too if you leave it and forget to switch off.

Amazon link above for USA viewers. We bought the compressor in France as we travel in our Camping Car and having a portable 12v compressor and inflator seemed like a really good idea. The Black and Decker compressor can inflate up to 11bar and as our camping car requires 5.5 bar it's no problem for this compressor.
What I especially liked about it is that it has a high-volume mattress inflation also so you don't go blue in the face trying to inflate everyone's air-beds at the beach or their mattresses for sleeping.
The fact that it can run on 12v cigarette lighter and has about a 3 metre lead is super. I can also run it from the mains when we're connected on a campsite. It can also be completely cordless if you already have a Black and Decker 18 volt battery pack and charger which you would if you own any other B&D cordless tools.
This is the French version in the video but there is a version for UK, USA and other countries.
The compressor/inflator is multi voltage running on mains electricity, 12v from car battery cigarette lighter socket or the 18 volt Black and Decker battery pack (not included, but if you have any other B&D cordless tools you'll already have one).
The Black and Decker multi-purpose compressor/inflator can be used to inflate car tyres up to 11 bar, (about 160psi ), bicycle tyres, air-beds, inflatable mattresses, footballs, kids pool toys, inflatable rafts and boats, inflatable tents/shelters and in fact almost anything that requires pressurised air.
It probably isn't any use for compressed air tools though directly, though I expect you could charge a cylinder with compressed air and then run a tool from it at a pinch if your actual compressor broke down.

Cardano is a very interesting cryptocurrency and because it's created from the learning curve provided by Ethereum, and has a very sound scientific-principles founding, I think it will go far to be the answer to a number of the cryptocurrency problems that are being now made visible.
My cardano price prediction for 2018 is partly based on three main factors,
1. Transaction fees
2. SPEED of transactions and
3. ENERGY consumed in creating/mining of the coin
I believe, from my partial study of the very thorough descriptions in the cardano white papers at https://www.cardanohub.org/en/academic-papers/
puts cardano in the top league of all the currencies out there, and despite it's current TINY facevalue of about $0.75 it already has a marketcap in the TOP 5, and above Litecoin!
This cardano price prediction for 2018 is simply based on my own personal research and of course you are expected to do your own and come to your own conclusions. I'm not offering any financial or investment advice.
I believe that in 2018 cryptocurrency might actually even move well into the mainstream as other countries are coming around to authorising the use of cryptocurrency exchnages and allowing the use of crytocurrencies as a means of purchasing AND finacial instruments. Some MAJOR government companies are actually buying massive stocks of crypto as a hedge fund, because cryptocurrency ISN'T tied to the current (heavily manipulated?) world trading markets.

I have begun a personal quest, based on a vision I received some months ago and that quest is to revolutionise education on this planet.
Yes, I know it's an enormous goal.
Utterly impossible some might say.
But "impossible is nothing" as the famous advert words go, and I have determined to bring about a total evolution if not revolution of education on this planet.
It's not so hard to do really.
You read this blog, you decide that you too will work towards this goal, we can create a group of like-minded individuals from all walks of life and all races, cultures and creeds, all united with the commun purpose to elevate education and to give back to the children their right to an education worthy of the name.
We can give our children the resources to expand their knowledge beyond our own. We can humble ourselves and even expect our students to be brighter, smarter, faster, and more intellectually capable than we are.
I know our three sons are. I made sure of that.
That's all part of the evolution from generation to gerneration. If we don't allow this natural phenomenon to occur, we stultify our global evolution as a species.
If you feel you have been stultified by your education, then get yourself a real education. My university is the university of life itself. I have studied and inquisitively followed a path to a level of philosophical understanding of human nature, the mind ,and the "problem" of study and education.
The "problem" by the way is NOT the children. My own personal educational experience and also as a father of three boys and now for more than 12 years as a foster father to a number of other children from very different and sometimes very difficult backgrounds.
The problem is NOT the children. The problem is the in the system.
The fact that we have allowed a bunch of very short-sighted individuals to turn our schools into a drug testing farm is in itself unbelievable, which is why we cannot sit around and be stupid sheep any longer or we will all be slaughtered. (If you don't think that a child destroyed by Ritalin or other drug "behavioral modifiers" hasn't been slaughtered...)
We need to elevate ourselves to determine to not follow the stream of lemmings to the inevitable educational death, but rise above the tortured scene and change the course of things NOW.
If each one of you reading this helped just one child achieve a true education and not allowed that child to be subjected to 'mind altering -educational drug torture' then this article will have helped in a small but potentially very big way.
