Sun-rise

A simple take on an every-day sunrise, but not without feelings....When I look at a sunrise I always feel a sense of renewal, hope and happiness, and I endeavour to share that with everyone around me. I think that if we all did the same, the world would already be a better place. Everyday is a new day, we can repair our errors, better our ways, and learn new things to increase our competence, and thus our ability to survive in a tough world. We survive thanks to all the people around us, but it is also people who can make our lives hard, so we should share our happiness and love of live as much as we can, so that ther IS more love around us...
I wish you a very pleasant renewed spirit day

This shot taken obviously with the flash! This highlights one of the technical problems of flash photography with a fixed flash on the camera... the reflection shines right back into the lens! One way to avoid this is to have a slave flash unit off to one side and minimise the direct reflections. The next time it snows I'll try to take a shot to show you what I mean. I have effectively triggered a slave flash unit from my built-in flash by covering the flash with red, green and blue primary filter gels together (it makes a very dark red) which cuts 99% of the visible light from the flash, so that it does not affect your shot but the infra-red component is very visible to the slave unit which triggers directly! This way you can "side-light" your subjects and avoid red-eye and the flat pancake over-exposed white skin FLAAAASH portraits.

I took this shot from the window of a building as a noise scattered the pigeons and I happened to be shooting the evening light. The birds were startled by something and "click!" the reflex action caught the shot. Not easy to get a flock like this as I waited for a while after to see if I could get another chance but the pigeons stayed put on the roof and out of my field of view!

Slave flash lit rose

More experimental flash photography with my Fujifilm S5800; Slave flash lit rose.
I covered the built-in flash with composite of red/green/blue filter so no direct flash on the rose. The infra-red component triggers the slave flash held behind.

A selection of photos from the complete dimantling in order to resolder the DC jack. Start by levering up the bezel around the top of the keyboar to access the screws below. Remove them all. turn over and remove all screws on the underside, and two at the back. remove the battery.slowly ease the top part away, and disconect the buzzer cable, remove the keyboard, carefully unlocking the ribbon cable first. remove the cd rom, lift out the wifi card from its slot, unplug the screen and audio cables. remove the hard drive. remove the harddrive bay. unscrew the heatsink and lift away. unscrew the fan.

"effervescent moon"

Here you go! Another exciting abstract artwork from the Jeremusic digital art studio. This was created using flash photography on organza in motion, and a little retouching in paintshop to enhance the contrast. I particularly like the contrasting colours and the fluidity of the forms created, coupled with the intensity of the reflected lighting the work yells out action and vivacity!

print that on a square meter of canvas and your lounge will be the envy of your entourage!

A recent creation from the digital photographic/art studio of Jeremusic.
Your ideas as to how the image was created....?
Clue: it IS a photograph .

I have always enjoyed creating with light and colour as wall as composing music, and this image is an experimentation photographically.

I began experimenting with photo-art when I was in my early teens. My father had a twin lens Rollei and I had a 110 instamatic, but the limitations of the camera were not a barrier. I just studied exactly its capabilities and limits and created my images within those limits. My 110 had a fixed aperture so I had to juggle with the lighting to get well exposed images. I already experimented with colour filters over the flash, even dual colours and reflected flash to create interesting effects .
One image I remember I had created sur a base of crumpled tin foil, and aluminium foil milk bottle tops, lit by three spots, red, blue and green. I used my dad's light meter to locate the point at which the lighting was correct for my 110 and took the (correctly exposed) shot from there....

Well, any ideas for the above?....
